Paul Caldwell of Global Recycling recently attended the NAID (National Information for Information Destruction) conference in Las Vegas, which covered many aspects of the Document Destruction Industry, including seminars covering ‘understanding how Google ad’s work, advertising, product and service offers’ and much much more.
The key note speaker being Frank Abagnale, who provided the inspiration for the feature film ‘Catch me if you Can’ which was based around his life story. Frank is a key advocate of confidentiality and security and has been working for the FBI for 35 years; he is now a respected authority on identity theft and other forms of fraud.
Attendees on this trip with Paul Caldwell were Anthony Pearlgood of PHS Datashred, Russell Harris of Shred Secure and Lloyd Williams of Shredall, all who run Shred-Tech Shredders. A helicopter ride was arranged for Anthony and Russell to the Grand Canyon which is approximately 70 miles away from Las Vegas. Interesting facts to note are that the Grand Canyon at its deepest point is 650 feet from ground level and in some places over 1.5 miles wide!
All in all a fantastic trip for increasing our profile and awareness of information destruction.
