PHS Expands Rotherham

PHS Datashred provide a UK nationwide service for data destruction, confidential waste disposal, paper shredding, high security shredding, waste recycling, disposal of redundant IT equipment, secure mobile shredding, general and special waste disposal. 

With the expansion of their Rotherham recycling facility, they approached Global Recycling Solutions Ltd to provide a solution to increase their output needs, and we are pleased to have installed a Shred-Tech ST-75 Static Shredder, as this has formed the backbone for many of their offsite facilities. This Shredder is able to produce a uniform 16mm BSIA Approved Standard with an output of 5 tons an hour. 

“Global Recycling have supplied some of our other facilities with ST-75 Shredders and we are generally pleased with their reliability and performance, as they have to cope with the large tonnages we bring in daily.  The installation caused very little disruption to our business, as they removed our old Shredder and installed the new one including wiring, hopper and stand and this was completed in 3 working days ahead of schedule.  The ease of operation means this works superbly well within the baling plant” commented John Harris 

The ST-75 has counter rotating shafts with intermeshing knives and an aperture of 1270mm x 635mm, which is driven by 2 x 50hp motors, along with a stand and hopper supplied by Global Recycling which were tailor made to fit their in-floor conveyor system already at the plant.
