Perrys Recycling, which was founded in 1962, specialised in recycling & off site shredding with one depot in Baltonsborough, Somerset processing around 175 tonnes per week. The family business has grown organically in line with customer needs for legal and environmental compliance. We now operate four shredding & baling depots in the South West – Yeovil (Marston Magna HQ), Bridgwater, Bristol and Bideford. With a fleet of over 30 vehicles servicing customers throughout South West processing over 1200 tonnes per week for shredding & recycling and recovery with zero waste to landfill solutions.
Chris Perry (Managing Director) explains “We have expanded our offsite & onsite shredding services in line with customer’s demands, legal compliance with the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Health and Social Care Act and Human Rights Act. As well as the increases in commercial fraud and growth in industrial cyber-crime, influencing the way businesses manage information governance. This has become a priority with customers who want a choice of either onsite & offsite services approved to BSEN15713 and high security CPNi information destruction standards.
We have operated three mobile onsite shredding lorries to BSEN15713 (level 3 standards), servicing customers in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and South Gloucester. We are also a shareholder member of The Shredding Alliance Limited, providing national service for customers with multiple sites and a central point of contact, invoicing and regular management information. Giving customers the choice or regional or national service contracts.
In order to keep up with the demands of large volume clearances and regular scheduled collections. As well as ever evolving shredding standards such as the new GSC (Government Security Classifications), CPNi (Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure) high destruction standards and the future PAS7010 standards we have invested in a fourth mobile shredding lorry.
The new Shred-Tech MDX2 mobile shredding vehicle has a high throughput of 3 tonnes per hour, with the ability to switch into high-security mode (BSEN15713 level 6/7, DIN P4) when required for customers needing to demonstrate legal compliance to these new regulations.
Global Recycling UK who are agents for Shred Tech are the market leaders in mobile double shredding technology and after much research we felt that the MDX2 vehicle provided the best throughput in standard mode and flexibility to switch to high-security on the same round, for customers who are having to comply with evolving security standards influencing the NHS, Police, Pharmaceutical Industries, Government Authorities, Ministry of Defence and Nuclear Facilities.
This investment completes the range of onsite and offsite shredding options for customers throughout the South West wanting to ensure Legal and Environmental compliance in a world of increased security risks.

All Seasons consist of a small team of professional Arborists based in County Durham operating throughout the North East of England. They established their business in October 2000, with their goal to provide a friendly, efficient and environmentally sound approach to modern Arboriculture.

Paper Shredding Services is the leading on and off-site document and electronic data shredding and recycling company in Scotland. A true Scottish company, who have delivered shredding and recycling services since the year 2000, and worked with hundreds of different business types, both large and small.
Using specialised shredding equipment, whether it’s for document shredding or hard drive shredding, Paper Shredding Services regularly review their requirements for shredding equipment to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
To assist their business, Ron Hill (MD) approached Global Recycling, based on the fantastic reputation Shred-Tech has in the market place. Based on a DAF LF55 Chassis and fitted with the tried and tested ST-15H Shredder, an order was placed for an MDS2-18GT Mobile Document Shredder.
This shredder features a cast aluminium shredder design, auger style compactor, bridgeless vibrating hopper, computer controlled operating system with integration of chassis control, and predictive engine idle to reduce emissions and save fuel. The ST-15H shreds up to 2,500 kgs/hr. The shredder boasts a hex shaft with easy to change heat treated and case carburized knives.
All MDS systems come equipped with Shred-Tech’s angled compactor design and walking floor unloading system. Together these features ensure an enormous legal payload of 6,500 kgs and rapid discharge of shredded material in a few minutes.
All Shred-Tech trucks are available in both ‘GT Model’ (featuring automated ground tipper with patented Bin Tunnel technology boasting adjustable kerb height control, and ‘H Model’ (featuring internal shredding compartment with fold down side lift). Ron Hill decided to go down the route of the ‘GT’ version; this enables the bins to be lifted from the ground and tipped into the shredding hopper, without the risk of the material being exposed. Even the operator has no access to the material and this is an added selling point for the ultimate secure on-site shredding service
“We are delighted with our purchase and the truck is performing extremely well. No sooner had the new truck been delivered, Global Recycling T/A Shred-Tech then installed an ST-35E Static Shredder with in-floor feed conveyor for our off site shredding facility. Again this is performing very well too, with throughputs up to 3000kgs/hour dependant on feed stock” commented Stewart Wilson, General Manager
The aluminium modular design of the ST35 allows for ease of maintenance and repair. Replaceable individual knives keep costs down when it comes to replacement of worn or broken knives. Twin electric motors provide the power to the shredder, with one motor driving each shaft; these can be specified as horizontal or vertical fitment if space is an issue”
John Brookes Sawmills have now taken delivery of their second Hammel VB950DK.

John and Tom have run many shredders over the years, but said the decision to purchase the VB950DK was an easy decision as the productivity is as good as it gets.
