Product Description

Bandit’s 990XP – is a compact drum chipper specifically designed for tree contractors, line clearance contractors and Councils who are looking for a high-performance, lightweight chipper that is robust enough to handle even the toughest hardwoods. Built to the same high standard of design and engineering as the larger Bandit chippers, the 990XP will provide years of trouble free, dependable service.

The 990XP is fitted with a robust, 24″ diameter drum. The Bandit drum is really very strong and should never have to be replaced as a result of failure during normal operations. It would be difficult for manufacturers of other brands available on the U.K. market to make a similar claim. Bandit are so confident about the structure of their 990XP that it is covered by their Industry Best 5 year limited “Guts” warranty.

Bandit have made the 990XP strong, but this does not come at the expense of weight. The fully optioned 990XP comes in at a lightweight 2,400kg, meaning that it can easily be towed by the smallest trucks. Fitted with an oversized 3,200kg capacity spring axle and electric brakes, the 990XP’s chassis is made of 100mm x 50mm RHS steel just like Bandit’s bigger machines, so it will hold up to our rough road conditions. Heavy duty 245/75R 16″ wheels and tyres are standard. High quality steel components will ensure longevity and provide years of dependable service. You won’t find cheap plastic fuel tanks and engine covers on Bandit’s 990XP.

Fitted with a powerful Perkins 84.5hp turbo diesel engine, the 990XP has the power to get the job done fast. Bandit’s Auto Feed Plus system is standard, as is a height adjustable discharge chute that swivels through 270 degrees of rotation. Dual horizontal infeed rollers, hydraulic lift and crush for the top feed roller, and a generous 45″ wide infeed hopper are all standard features.

The dual feed wheels and Bandit’s slide box feed system combine to make this unit an exceptional machine for feeding forked or limby material – again, vastly better than the single roller models usually found in this class of machine. Bandit does not cut corners with the 990XP’s design – they know that dual roller machines are the only way to go for maximum performance and that’s why they are standard on the 990XP.
